Bars in Alaska offer free pregnancy tests

This whole thing is condescending and patriarchal and when you take into consideration the politics of the area, has heavy sexist undertones. This coming from an area that can’t even handle rape kits properly. And focuses on abstinence-only education rather than real and useful sex education.

Maybe if abstinence-only education was abolished and real sex education was a thing in this area, there would be less unplanned pregnancies in general! Perhaps if there were better education, health care, and mental illness education in the area, less women (AND men) would become alcoholics.

I wonder how the health care in Alaska is, and mental health care in particular. I just wonder.

This act doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
