It’s actually “Ki ki ki ki… Ma ma ma ma…” According to Manfredini, it’s the voice of Jason, telling his mom to get revenge. “Kill, ma.”

It’s been awhile, but from what I remember the image of Jason with the hockey mask was a product of the sequels, not the first one. It was kind of a reverse of the Norman Bates story. I could go research it and so on, but I’m lazy.
On camping trips friends would do this whenever we were hiking anywhere through the dark.
