I actually met Rick Adleman and one of the Blazers - I can’t remember who now (possibly Terry Porter) - when I was in seventh grade because my class won a how-many-books-can-you-read contest. I still am not sure whether or not the Blazers were really cool but it seemed like the team around that era was classy, not like the Bulls or LA.
