Kentucky gay marriage ban struck down

At last a judge that can see the difference between a ‘reason’ and an ‘excuse’.

Holy crap. If I did my math right this finally puts us over the tipping point where most Americans now live in states that have marriage equality (we were at 48.8% as of last week). Woot!

EDIT: I goofed, that 48.8% only applied to gay Americans, who are slightly more likely to live in states which allow gay marriage than the overall population (45.6%). Still, if we’re not there yet we’re very very close.

I downloaded the PDF of this decision, and Judge John G. Heyburn really did cover all the bases and dispel all of the specious arguments used by the states and the Jesus industry.

As a gay man in a same sex marriage this case made I happy!
