Cool. I really like this trend, with authors outside of “the West” being asked for their stories about spaceships and whatnot. In my limited exposure to steampunk, it seems like it’s been a problem, moreso than in other subgenres of scifi. So three huzzahs to making steampunk a little less “hooray for white people!”
I still dislike the aesthetic, though.
