english dub please?

ducks

this is a really loose, quick translation (i took a few figurative liberties, so it’s not a direct, literal translation) -

the first pleasure of the day
is like a ribbon of sunshine
that wraps itself about your hand
and caresses my shoulders

like the light breath of the sea
and the seashore that awaits
or a bird that has sung
on a branch of a fig tree

the first chagrin of the day
is like a door that now has closed
or a car that now has left
and the silence that descends afterwards

but so quickly you return
and my life resumes it course
the last pleasure of the day
is a light that’s fading out.

It’s a long afternoon. I’ll have another.

Zou Bisou Bisou.

Surely I’m not the only one who hears…?

here’s an updated version from 2011, by Béatrice Martin (Coeur de Pirate).
