Some favorite TV theme songs

I know this was another terrible show, but my younger mind loved the perspective that our time was more innocent…

And now I abandon all pretense of critical taste…

Ah dammit. I should have added Welcome by Kotter to my list. Top notch.

My wife and I started watching three weeks ago. Halfway through season 4. This song is perpetually in my head.

The theme that most loves up to it’s show’s title - Good Times.

This was another that was re-recorded over and over again as the series went on as well.

Some crazy person put together the “ultimate intro” with every single cast member (and the variants of their entrances) ever to be in the opening credits:

My favorite will always be Jack Coleman angrily pulling off his bowtie.

And the memorable theme from a time when the name National Geographic on tv meant a great show and not just yet another forgettable cable channel:

I got hooked on that show, initially, just cuz bitch pudding is in it. DA-da-da-DAAAAAAAAA-BLAM!

(kinda has a groove to it)

(on of my all time favorite hooks - reminds me of Jean Michel Jarre in some ways…)

(great show, I’m still on the fence regarding the music - this is the out music BTW)

(I’ve over the top in love with this show, yes, I’m that much of a dork - but it’s a great little tune to play on the guitar of you can)

(I like the contrast  )

(He should be the next Mr. Bond! & I really liked him as “Mumbles” in Rocknrolla)

(I’m pretty sure I didn’t see this one on my way down… surprised, but if it’s a repeat, my bad)

Should I believe that, or not?

Yeah, but listen to Parlet albums, or Brides of Funkenstein, they come pretty close to being all-out-disco (hence “borderline disco”, they walk right up to the line but don’t quite cross it.) And that’s fine, I have no beef with disco.

175 posts and nobody has put the Enterprise theme up yet…

Hated 1999 for the stupid concept, but loved UFO, perhaps because I was younger then. Watched some episodes more recently and was SHOCKED at the cheesecake skin show on moonbase in the pilot. How did I not remember that? I guess I was prepubescent.

An early example of Gellfex’s law that all shows must have the female lead in their underwear in the pilot. I am rarely disappointed.

I see you wasted your youth at the same time I did in the same way. Ah, syndicated TV!
