Pokémon: the First Movie had an anti-violence message, which was a strange choice. It sort of all summed up in the line “Pokémon weren’t meant to fight…not like this”. Because of course they were meant to fight, but not for anything meaningful, only for entertainment purposes. Like alamnhat says, Pokémon are weird.
