This is my thing. Late 80’s early 90’s HK cinema. Back then I haunted the back of the Chinese grocery store, the lone gweilo pouring over the bootleg VHS tapes for rent. The picture quality was shit, but they almost always had Chinese and English subtitles burned in.
My life was not so good back then, but watching those movies for the first time as they came out was a wonderful experience I would gladly relive.
