Lu, testifying through a Mandarin interpreter, said she paid $200 for a Chinese guide to drop her off at various South Florida locations. She said her language barrier prevented her from understanding a security officerā€™s orders to leave the property.

Trump is probably thinking ā€œwhy didnā€™t I think of that when the impeachment thing was going on?ā€.

I am so fucking sick of ā€œThey just donā€™t understand what they are sayingā€ excuses made for these racist assholes. These are 15, 16, 17 year olds. Some will be voting this election. They understand very well what they are saying.

This incident lead to the same ā€œIt was out of ignorance, they just don;t understandā€ shit." I have said before, I hope we are keeping track of who these jerks are, because in the (hopefully) post-Trump era, they will deny they were ever doing such ā€œdespicableā€ actions and have always been with us. They have not. They will not have been then. They are just waiting for it to be socially acceptable again.

CBP is aware of landownersā€™ misgivings. A spokesman said, ā€œThe Border Patrol will continue to operate on both sides of the barrier, to include the riverine environment.ā€ Further, the agency will install electric gates with security codes to give landowners access to the south side of the wall.

wait. places along the wall that cut through private property have gates with passcodes given to the owners of the property?!?

queue getting rich via smuggler payments in 3,2,1ā€¦

the whole thing is absurd

there is a reason most countries donā€™t do this

Odds are, CBP will get a notification every time the passcode is used, and they wonā€™t be asking for permission to enter private property for a look.

Itā€™s as if weā€™re basically ceding territory to Mexico. That must really trigger the Cons.

I just had a thought, after reading this article. What if one of the Dem presidential candidates stopped ā€œcampaigningā€ and instead led a nonviolent but highly disruptive revolution? Theyā€™d win the nomination, and probably the general, in a landslide.

Better yet, what if they all did?

How would this be different, or end differently, from Occupy Wall Street?

directly related from last week ( maybe already mentioned but was news to me ):

From the cbp memo:

This policy change now protects all CBP employee names from subsequent responses to Freedom of Information Act requests or other public disclosures for CGP employee data.

itā€™s possible thatā€™s how itā€™s intended. but still no problem. the gates are for people who have fields, boats, golf courses on the other side. thatā€™s ripe for pattern hacking. all you need is to set a pattern of typical use, and have smugglers then follow that pattern on days you donā€™t.

hardware and software hacking are also options.

more important, their own talking point is that the wall is not to stop people but to slow people so border patrol can get there. gates with passcodes complete destroy that aim.
