The trouble with these people is that when you confront them with facts, they always have another smart-alec retort.
I was chatting with a pyramidist the other day and pointed out his whole ‘everything is triangles’ thesis was nonsense as it was plain as day that the base of the pyramid was clearly a square!
(“Take that! I thought. Ha! Got the bastard.)
Cool as a cucumber this dude comes back with 'yeah, but a square is two triangles, isn’t it”.
Well that stymied me, I must say. I mean, he’s right, isn’t he? There’s more to this than meets the eye. Thankfully he gave me one of his books to read and my eyes are opening fast, I must say!
