Yep, when I was active on Facebook I saw someone claim that Orwell might have supported socialism in his time, but he wouldn’t now. I offered him that quote and politely suggested he wasn’t being fair to Orwell.
Sometimes I wish necromancy was a real thing, just so I could bring certain people back from the dead to refute dumbasses who erroneously try to speak for them now.
