Like every Brazilian, I’m sort of an inflation veteran. A quick check tells me that our current currency (alliteration!) is worth now roughly 17% of what it did when introduced, in 1995.
And that’s the crazy-gambit new money that “saved” the country from decades of run-in-front-of-the-price-sticker-guy-to-buy-food-at-yesterday’s-prices inflation.
So yeah, not quite wheelbarrows-of-cash-for-toilet-paper situations but still pretty much the opposite of micropayments.
