Somehow I suspect Barr was repeating a meme she read somewhere else in the alt-right echo chamber, rather than creating an original “joke.” If anybody in the chain was talking specifically about Helena Bonham Carter in a Tim Burton movie, it wasn’t Barr. Barr just thinks it’s funny to be mean to blacks and Muslims and Democrats.
Anybody making excuses for Trump or Barr like they’re not really racists is jumping head-first into the shallow end of the pool. Trump and Barr didn’t decide they were Republicans UNTIL the Democrats nominated Obama for President. Then suddenly the Left was Satan to them. Racism is not just an item on the list — racism is ALL THEY CARE ABOUT.
