Huh. Well, the flag is back lit and the stars look embroidered. So that’s why they aren’t white, they are too dense for the light to shine through. And it looks like the embroidery puckered the fabric in to a pattern.
I don’t know if large flags like that are prone to puckering, or if someone just cheaped out on a flag.
