Amazon is burning exactly because of illegal farmers vying for using ever expanding land to plant soy to feed cows. Not the soy nor the meat stay here, by the way. This is all marked for exportation.
Although people worldwide are getting more and more on the vegan bandwagon, the turning point is far from here - and let’s get real, while cattle farming stays lucrative assholes will keep raising livestock. The only way to make them care is making NOT burning reserves and native land more lucrative.
This is bad, this is really bad and people don’t get the scope: these arsonists made a fire that is burning in 3 countries, there’s people going to hospitals in droves (children and elderly people are the majority of cases with respiratory issues flooding the ER), there are already cases where people could not leave their houses in time and they died, animals are also dying or running in fear, natives are being attacked and murdered.
You can talk with city people to not eat meat, what I want to see is anyone making a rancher with bloody hands and a torch talked out of keeping doing this.
