What sucks about this sale is that obviously we’d like the Sandy Hook parents to be well compensated for the harms that Jones did to them, but we also don’t want such a hateful company to have any inherent value at all. If someone makes a well-informed, rational business decision to spend millions of dollars on these assets then it’s financially good for the parents but a terrible sign for society.
