I’m very fond of listening to Siouxsie Sioux on 33 (from 45s of course) and she IS Jim Morrison. It’s hilarious to listen to The Creatures’ Right Now (old song the likes of Mel Tormé made famous) on 33 and imagine Jim Morrison doing what he should have done: gone to Vegas as a louche lounge singer.
I remember hearing Tricky covering a Banshee’s b-side and going “I knew it, he listened to them on 33 too!”
