Amazon must refund up to $70 million to parents for in-app purchases made by kids

This happened to me with Apple back when my son was little. My wife downloaded some kids’ game app for him not knowing about the in-app purchases. I was a little startled when I got an email receipt from Apple for $300 worth of virtual puppy food. To their credit, I called them and they removed the charges, no questions asked. However they also gave me instructions on how to disable in-app purchases on the iPhone (not very obvious or intuitive) and said “Now that you know how to do that, don’t call us asking for a refund again.”
