Well the only way that would be “super interesting” to us is if the DOJ “made it clear” to the public they were offering a tit-for-tat deal, not just for the defendant but roping in a third party, which would typically be something plea bargains try to keep out of the public eye, albeit in a nudge-nudge-wink-wink manner that hardly reflects well on the whole criminal justice industry
What would really be super interesting would be how hard the U.S. attorneys got smacked down by the Court as they re-learned not to bite the various hands that fed them
