I don’t think they care much. They’re making plenty of money off average users who just want a functional computer from a recognizable brand. And the hogs that will buy whatever top product every time it’s released because apple.
And that’s fine. It’s a decent reliable way to make money. Who cares if they’re the “best” if the products are actually good, worth it, And do what they say on the box.
But the quality issues they’ve had and their lack of attention to actual performance are going to erode the brand identity that all functions on in the long run. They’ve been going through a loooooong cycle of alienating professional and creative markets already. The sort of reputation they have can be hard to break though.
