Are there fewer comments since the switch to Discourse?

one thing I’d like to request for consideration is that a ‘Quick Comment’ box be placed directly below the article, where people can speak their mind before the top notes of the emotions generated from reading the article have yet to wear off.

Do you really want comments to be based on quick heat-of-the-moment emotions rather than a considered reading of the article?
