It is around here. I did a study when I worked in downtown Seattle. I lived 15 miles from my office. Rode my bike - took 1 hour 10 minutes (due to lights and the fact that cars frequently were slower than I was, so I got stuck in traffic). Took the bus - that was a 25 minute walk to the bus stop (1.5 miles away), then a very easy, pleasant 30 minute express bus that dropped me off right up the hill from my building - 55 minutes. Then driving - One hour. To drive 15 miles on choked freeway.
I get the part about inclement weather - we have rain, drizzle and sideways hail storms quite a bit of the year, but we DON’T have snow. And it’s tough hauling a suitcase to the airport for a long trip on the back of a bike!
