I have a childhood memory of waking up early at a campout, and hearing an odd noise, and finding it to be a butterfly, sipping the foamy dewy remnants of someone’s burnt marshmallow. So if you’re wondering what sound a butterfly makes, it is a tiny “schlurpp!”.
