The only access to most US people is their phone. People can get TO you, but if they can’t get through to you, well, you might as well be in BC behind a safe wall of avalanches and forest fires. Those are more predictable than human temperament anyhow.
Same people though. Same humanity, different clothes.
Also, I lived in Willits CA for a spell. I’ve seen the rodeo.
