I’m not sure if his philanthropy falls into the same category, but if you’ve ever read “The Rich and the Super-Rich”, it spends quite a bit of time on how fraudulent the whole “foundation” thing has been in the past, anyway. It’s basically a wealth-preservation tactic for dynasties.
And man, that book needs an update…
