Speaking of Mr. Buffett,
many of you must remember
the Gates/Buffett interview
some years ago. possibly on PBS?
(Maybe accessible via YouTube now).
Buffett’s most memorable remark was
explaining how he paid a higher rate in taxes
than his secretary…
…and that having personal wealth
accumulation was never his goal, he just
enjoys “playing games with the numbers”.
He likes the challenge and actual wealth
happened to be a by-product.
Mr.Gates had a similar drive, but different
motivations.
Thankfully both are inclined to put
some/most of their wealth to work
for the good of humanity.
Too bad they are the exceptions.
Can you imagine the difference the Top 1%
could make in our country
if they followed the same example!?
Ooops, I forgot…there are those folks
who have no alliegence to our country because
The World is Their Oyster"
and they’re boarding ALL the pearls.
