I generally think the rally for making the wealthy pay more taxes is misguided, because the US government will continue to spend it on killing brown people and causing other forms of horror

That’s a terrible argument. Even if you ignore all the non-war-related things that need to be funded, how is it better to make poor people pay for that stuff than rich people?
