I keep a 3-4 small binder clips in the internal pouch of my luggage.
If the hotel curtains don’t close properly and leave one of those gaps that inevitably blasts your room in light at dawn, I can use the clips to temporarily suture the curtains shut.
Just remember to remove them before leaving the room for the day so that housekeeping doesn’t have a problem.
