But it’s a shitty, shitty feeling to have to listen to management tout how much they value their employees one day and then have that same management the next day tell you they aren’t willing to make you permanent.

If it’s not too much of a derail, what actually is the difference in American terms between being a full-time temp and a ‘permanent’ employee?

Presumably it differs from state to state?
