Kathy Hochul.
She used to be my congresswoman where her district (at the time before Albany cordoned off the more conservative parts to create the 27th district) took up much of the outer suburbs of Buffalo, Niagara Falls and large parts of the GLOW region (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties). She impressed the dems in Albany for being able to fight tooth and nail in a very red district.
The republicans at the national level would be foolish to underestimate her after she takes the reigns.
