The red pill types generally try to conflate the two in order to stifle change around either. Both are problems of consent, but of a different kind, and the people who try to pretend they’re the same thing are mainly interested in suggesting that incapacitating a woman to rape her is like mutual intoxication-impaired judgement, when even a cursory analysis shows they’re not the same at all and the gray area of mutual intoxication can’t be used to justify the stark crime of rape.
