“It is difficult to believe that Congress passed a tax cut weighted so heavily towards the wealthy when the nation’s top CEOs are clearly doing fine.”
I wasn’t under the impression the tax cut was done because top CEOs were suffering. And it’s not at all difficult for me to believe anything that Congress does these days.
I feel as though it was sold to the public as a way to allow the leeches “job creators” to pay their employees more, which they said would not be how they used the money saved through taxes before they even got it. The “idea” was that it would stimulate the economy.
I feel as though in reality it was a gift to the leeches “job creators” as a kind of “thank you for putting me in the white house; here’s your cut. It’s YUGE!.” Like a gift horse, if you will. You shouldn’t go looking in it’s mouth.
But hey, it’s GREAT that the CEOs are doing so GREAT! That’s a mighty nice horse they’ve got there. They might want to start riding like the wind…
