It’s crazy to me that we now segregate attendance at political events based on ‘sympathetic to the ideology of the gathering’ and ‘non-sympathetic to the ideology of the gathering’. Isn’t the whole point of protesting in a public space to be seen and counted? How is it okay that dissent is gradually being moved further and further away from the event, and de facto marginalized?
