Terrific cast (including Mojo Nixon), outrageous set design, good balance of practical effects and convincing CGI and a perfectly cromulent plot. I personally rate it as a really good, enjoyable movie and I don’t understand why it’s generally reviled.
It makes a good double bill with Tank Girl (1995), also generally reviled.
