Long post ends with this:
Unregulated capitalism values profit over human life and suffering.
Capitalism at its core values profit over human life which is why the whole damn system has got to go
I posted this over in the climate change thread… you have to embed or it won’t link… weird thing with tumblr.
Oh wow, thanks for this tip.
Yeah I wasn’t sure which place to post it… really I think it should be posted everywhere.
Written in blood indeed.
Reminds me of how critics of the U.S. EPA say we don’t need an EPA. I’ve been to China, it has some of the worst air and water pollution I have ever experienced. All humans and other lifeforms need an EPA, and furthermore, it has to be staffed by people who give a shit and not toadies and shills. Pruitt was bad. And his replacement, bad.
Problem in Texas isn’t the lack of environmental protection [fed/state/city/county] laws, it’s the organized, concerted lack of enforcement of them. Widespread. I know it’s not just Texas, but it’s the place I see it firsthand.
It could work in several places, but the focus on the environment struck me as belonging there… But deregulation is a problem in a variety of ways.
This! It’s how this works, that regulations are passed and conservative governments then starve the regulatory bodies or stack it with industry insiders.
At this point, it’s pretty obvious conservatives don’t care about reducing government waste as much as they care about using whatever power they have to destroy the utility of the government. Typically through waste.
I’m tempted to read the one in the middle as sarcasm. But no, apparently it’s not.
Seriously? The setup is too perfect.
Yeah I think Isis Caliphate Army Esports is trolling the idiots there.
