Coydog? Almost never. Coyotes hate dogs. Coyote bitches rarely breed with males even in captivity during heat.

Presumably a boy coyote jumped a fence to get at Mrs. Retriever when she was in estrous.
I think a fractional-coyote mix would be neat. Like a 1/4 coyote, 3/4 border collie. Train him to rustle sheep.

I wonder if they know it’s a coy dog, or if they’re guessing. A lot of people claim to have wolf dogs, but very seldom is that the case. I think it’s probably the same here. I don’t see a lot in that dog that suggests coyote, physically or behaviorally.

A theory which is gaining acceptance is that canines affected the evolution of hom sapiens as much as we affected the evolution of canines.
I like this as much as the dinosaurs with feathers, T-rex chicken!
