David Cameron's porn-filter advisor arrested for possession of images of sexual abuse of children

I have spent the last day trying to find any surprise within myself about this news. I can’t and it depresses me.

I blame John Major.

ALWAYS blame Maggie. For everything.

Really? Any kind of porn making is “uncomfortable and degrading”? That’s false. A really good friend of mine works in porn – and, staying on topic I suppose, she actually has done work for Kink.com. She’s quite prolific and has been doing it for years. She doesn’t find it “uncomfortable and degrading” – she’s really PROUD of her JOB and is quite good at it. She’s been nominated for several AVN awards, and also does a bit of directing. She is wicked smart and one of my favorite people.

Porn isn’t inherently “uncomfortable and degrading” – not if it’s fully consensual. Back to my point: What you’re looking for is rape. Ha ha, rape jokes.

And that’s without even getting into sexting and other forms of home-made porn, which is fairly unlikely to be uncomfortable and degrading.

I blame Maggie for Tony Blair and Nick Clegg.

Don’t worry. Dave’s taking this very seriously.

It sounds as if your experience in porn has distorted your sensibilities, and turned you away from the true path. May I pray for you?

I was about to say something to this effect. Porn isn’t inherently bad, so making it can’t be either.

Many people consider “Shortbus” to be porn, except it isn’t. But if it were so narrowly defined as being porn for the fact of it having non-simulated sex scenes, it would be an excellent example.

How do you suppose he became an expert on the subject?
