Holy shit. There are two possibilities here: the police showed up, investigated, saw the doll/mannequin* closeup and failed to identify it as a doll, or the cops never showed up/got out of their cars at the reports of human remains, leaving it instead for the coroner. I’m not sure which is worse - cops that inept/idiotic or that criminally negligent.
*And there’s quite a difference between the two - a sex doll would have seams but a mannequin would be made of stiff plastic with obvious joint-gaps where the limbs are attached. It would take a lot more (stupidity/lack of effort) to ignore those.
