Fun fact, one of Peter Scolari’s first roles was in a porn movie in 1978. He didn’t do actual porn but he was in the movie back when porn had plots.

I couldn’t place the name but when the article listed his credits it hit me. So many actors that don’t get recognized as superstars but put in years of work.

I don’t care much for either of the old firm teams, but Walter Smith led Rangers to win the Scottish League nine times in a row (1988-1997, first two won by Graeme Souness with Smith as assistant manager), equal with Jock Stein (Celtic 1965-1974).

A stalwart of British TV (and stage) for many years - some time ago. Only those Brits of a certain age are likely to remember him. He was 100 years old.

ETA read this and realised one of his tunes was sampled in hundreds of songs, including by Jay-Z.
TIL: the music he wrote that became the Channel 4 News theme was also used by Clint Eastwood in Pale Rider.
