Designing "technology for women": a flowchart

It just occurred to me that things being designed for right-handers has actually been much more of an issue for me to contend with in life than the fact that I’m a smallish woman in a world of man-made objects.

Speaking of bikes: standard procedure is for the hand brakes to be set up so that the right-hand one goes to the back wheel rather than the front one. That way, when you squeeze just that little bit harder with your stronger hand, you won’t flip yourself over the handlebars. Except if you’re a leftie.

Yeah…things like that.
