This Michelin Star thing isn’t the only advertisement still going that has a culture around it. I would say top of that list is Santa Claus, the character as we currently know it is directly a result from Coca-Cola campaigns. There’s also Guinness World Records…
There must be other examples of this but i’m drawing a blank. Hmmm. Anyway, i find the Michelin Star to be an interesting thing. I don’t have the money to afford to travel to all these different restaurants and try the food, but if that’s someone else’s prerogative then why not? It’s their time and money.
