Edge Of Tomorrow had an interesting take on time loop/time travel for the story which helped a lot.
While I felt they did a good job of adapting it for a western audience I didn’t quite like the feel good Hollywood ending. Find yourself a copy of the book. It goes into some small things like why the Full Metal Bitch does things like use an axe, and the ending is wonderful but much more melancholy.
