Atomic Blonde like Wonder Woman is also based off a comic book. When I first saw the trailer, I for sure thought the comic book Queen & Country was finally being adapted after years stuck in development hell. However, I looked it up and it’s based on a graphic novel called The Coldest City by Antony Johnston & Sam Hart. Interesting enough, Johnston worked on the Queen & Country comic before writing The Coldest City so there was certainly some influence. Apparently Ellen Page is set to star in Queen & Country if they ever get that movie adaptation off the ground.
From what I’ve heard of The Coldest City, it’s a pretty fun spy thriller comic and the movie adaptation looks like it could be a lot of fun as well.
