Advantages of library cats:

  • They don’t dog-ear pages
  • They don’t mysteriously disappear as frequently as library canaries seem to these days.

Not anymore, according to the story published; and it seems that he hates it, poor kitty.

I don’t like free-roaming cats. I once had a neighbor go ballistic on me because our dog attacked her cat…in my fenced yard. She (our dog) didn’t actually touch her cat, only ran at it unexpectedly, barking and growling, evidently traumatizing the poor dear.

The cat-endangered Hawaiian Petrel agrees with me:

Do Not Press The Big Red Button is Rule #1 around here.
Yes, we had to make it a rule. And yes, we had to make it Rule #1. We had those kind of kids.

Another one of his genius works…
It recently had a re-printing, but I’m not sure if that’s still going.

You know, this cat is trying hard to prove once and for all that cats are smarter than dogs, and an entire community is trying to hinder his education. This is out and out species-ism.

Are we sure that “cats are less intelligent” isn’t exactly what they want us to think? That way, they can laze around, allowing us can-openers to serve them at their leisure, while they quietly scheme to take over the world…

(Although, if we already cater to their every whim, why do they need to take over the world?

Cats are smart.)

Wasn’t that an episode of the ABC series, “Downward Dog?”

Wouldn’t know…I cut back on shows from that network after Forever was canceled. Once Fresh Off the Boat and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are gone, I’ll be done watching anything on ABC.
