I mean, the GOP has been employing this tactic since at least 2007, after the Virginia Tech massacre that killed 32 people, and by gum, it’s failed every single time.

That’s because even that is a lie. I don’t believe for a second that they actually keep the victims in their thoughts or their prayers.

Maybe it would work? We will never know.
