To be fair to us Brits, a lot more local people came out to show solidarity, and to nurture and support immigrants, than came in from a wider area to attack them.
The courts have done a pretty good job of slamming the rioters and agents provocateurs in gaol.
However this is merely suppression of the problem, not a way to address its causes.
