I have had a 2600 nearly continuously since 1986 - if I give a unit away, another presents itself to me within a couple years. My current unit is my 4th, and found me at a garage sale 3 houses down in an old beer box marked “nintendo” 
. I will wait for the price to come down on this 2600+, but I am definitely in the market for an upscaling unit with HDMI.
