High IQ is only a tiny part of what makes another human being worth being around and worth dating.

The key word here is “with,” rather than “at the behest of”. As in, you choose or accept someone to breed with (or not) rather than be assigned someone or restricted from all someones at the behest of genocidal busybodies.
There’s someone out there for everyone, unless the someones get swept up in half-baked social engineering.
