Excuses for not putting a woman on a U.S. banknote

The Government routinely monitored tranactions of $10,000 or more. Fines for serious offenses used to be about $10,000, too, cementing that amount as a ā€œshitload of moneyā€. Recently, Congress stated updating those fines to $100,000 dollars, but didnā€™t update the money laundering standards. Iā€™m miffed.

Perhaps thereā€™s a rule that only dead people belong on currency, but Sandra Day Oā€™Connor was not mentioned in the article, nor in this thread so far. Sheā€™s got to be a shoe-in.

Oh waitā€¦ Iā€™ve found a youtube video!

Youā€™re very welcome!

(Salmon P Chase is my 4th Cousin, 5 times removed, so I should know this.)

A meth addict as currency designer.

If we can do quarters with every state, surely Washington could yield the face of the $1 bill to a succession of portatins of our historical and nearly unknown Presidential spouses, who have given more than most of us have, for this nation.

How about

So long as the reverse displayed Reagan handing the Ayatollah weapons with one hand while offering a gun to a contra shooting a nun, Iā€™d be okay with it.

Every time I come across this thread, I wonder how many people there are out there who fantasize about watching women sit on US currency. Just had to say it before the thread closed.

Put Rosa Parks on the dime (assuming thatā€™s how much bus fare was, of course)

Good guess!

To ensure the boycott could be sustained, black leaders organized carpools, and the cityā€™s African-American taxi drivers charged only 10 centsā€“the same price as bus fareā€“for African-American riders.

Shortly thereafter, the weight of popular opinion shifts from keeping the cent as the lowest denomination to phasing out all coins lower than the quarter.
